Apple’s New MacBooks Are Now Available to Pre-Order on Amazon

Apple’s latest Mac lineup is now available for pre-order on Amazon ahead of the official retail release on March 11. The updated lineup includes the powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, the refreshed M5 MacBook Air, and the newly introduced entry-level MacBook Neo.

With this wave of releases, Apple is covering nearly every segment of the laptop market, from high-performance professional machines to a new affordable Mac designed for students and everyday users.

MacBook Pro With M5 Pro and M5 Max

At the top of the lineup are the new MacBook Pro models powered by Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. These processors introduce Apple’s new Fusion Architecture, which combines two silicon dies into a single system on a chip. The design is aimed at delivering significantly higher performance for demanding workflows, particularly those involving artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Apple says these chips deliver up to four times faster AI performance compared to previous models. In addition to the processing improvements, Apple has increased the base storage on M5 Pro configurations to 1TB, giving professionals more room for large files, projects, and AI models.

Connectivity has also been upgraded. The new MacBook Pro models now include Thunderbolt 5 ports and support for Wi-Fi 7, enabling faster data transfers and improved wireless performance.

The updated MacBook Pro lineup is available in both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes and can now be pre-ordered ahead of next week’s release.

MacBook Air With M5 and 512GB Base Storage

Apple also refreshed the MacBook Air with its new M5 chip. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch versions received the upgrade while keeping the same fanless aluminum design.

One of the most notable architectural changes in the M5 chip is the addition of a Neural Accelerator integrated directly into every CPU core. This design allows AI workloads to run significantly faster than before while maintaining the efficiency that the MacBook Air is known for.

Apple has also eliminated the 256GB storage option. The new base configuration for all MacBook Air models is now 512GB, doubling the starting storage across the lineup.

Wireless connectivity is also improved thanks to Apple’s custom N1 chip, which adds support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. These upgrades should provide faster network speeds and better reliability, particularly in crowded environments.

MacBook Neo: Apple’s New $599 Entry-Level Laptop

The biggest surprise in Apple’s latest lineup is the introduction of the MacBook Neo. Starting at $599, it is the most affordable Mac laptop Apple has released in years.

The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch display and a lightweight aluminum enclosure rather than plastic, maintaining Apple’s premium design approach even at a lower price tier.

Instead of using an M-series processor, the laptop runs on the A18 Pro chip, the same class of silicon used in Apple’s flagship iPhones. The chip includes a 16-core Neural Engine, allowing the device to handle Apple Intelligence features and everyday productivity tasks efficiently while maintaining a fanless design.

The laptop is available in several colorful finishes, including blush, indigo, silver, and a bright citrus option, giving it a more playful personality compared to other Mac models.

A Broader Mac Lineup Than Ever

With the MacBook Neo targeting budget-conscious buyers, the MacBook Air serving the mainstream market, and the MacBook Pro addressing professional workflows, Apple’s laptop lineup is now more clearly segmented than ever before.

The new devices are available to pre-order now, with official retail availability and customer deliveries beginning March 11.

For buyers considering a new Mac, this release cycle offers a wide range of options, whether the goal is maximum performance, everyday productivity, or entering the Mac ecosystem at a lower price point.
