Apple’s Fall Product Plans: iPad Pro, AirTag, Vision Pro, Apple TV & HomePod mini Updates Coming

Apple’s September events are usually all about the iPhone and Apple Watch, but this year Bloomberg says the company is preparing a much wider range of product updates. From the iPad Pro to the HomePod mini, here’s what’s reportedly on the way.

iPad Pro Gets Smarter With M5 and Dual Cameras

The iPad Pro is set for a big update later this year. Beyond the performance boost from the new M5 chip, Apple is planning to add a second front-facing camera on the portrait edge. This change would finally make FaceTime calls and Face ID seamless no matter how you hold the device — fixing one of the most common complaints since the camera moved to the landscape side on the M4 Pro.

Vision Pro’s First Refresh

The Vision Pro, launched in early 2024, is due for its first refresh. Apple is testing configurations with an M4 or M5 chip, along with a possible space black finish. But don’t expect a major redesign — Apple’s bigger bet is on a cheaper Vision headset and eventual smart glasses.

AirTag Finally Gets an Upgrade

First released in 2021, the AirTag is overdue for new hardware. Apple is reportedly adding a new wireless chip to improve accuracy and range. This could make it even more reliable for tracking your essentials and harder to lose in tricky environments.

Apple TV Gets Faster for Apple Intelligence

The Apple TV, last updated in 2022, will finally see a hardware bump. The new model is expected to include a faster processor, making it ready for Apple Intelligence features like the revamped Siri coming in 2026.

HomePod mini 2: Smarter, Better, Louder

The HomePod mini is also getting love this fall. Reports suggest:

  • A new chip for smarter performance

  • An ultra-wideband radio for improved device interactions

  • Better audio quality

  • And possibly new color options (including red!)

Both Apple TV and HomePod mini are expected to be among the first devices to feature Apple’s new in-house Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip — a move that should improve connectivity across the Apple ecosystem.

The Bigger Picture

Apple’s fall hardware announcements are shaping up to be one of the busiest product seasons in years. With iPhone 17, Apple Watch Series 11, and now this expanded lineup, Apple seems determined to keep momentum strong heading into 2026.
